The titanic was the best and the brightest of the whitestar line, and she set sail april 11 1912. Passengers could enjoy every luxury onboard; turkishbaths
a swiming pool, cafes. And best of all, the ship was considered unsinkable, the reason: the hull of the titanic was comprised of 16 compartments, it was designed
to stay afloat even if 3 or possibly 4 compartments were flooded. bot on the night of april 14'th the ship hit an ice berg, and six of those compartments
filled with water. The titanic went down in a little more than 2 and a half hours killing 1500 people.

Construction of the Fox Baja Studios, a state-of-the-art facility where most of "Titanic" would be filmed, began May 30, 1996. A scant 100 days later, the facility was completed, and through the combined efforts of a massive team of artists, craftsmen and engineers, the nearly full-size, 775-foot long exterior set of the ship Titanic loomed majestically against the Mexican coastline.

Fox Studios Baja is located 3 miles south of Rosarito, just off the free road, between the 1-D Autopista (Mexico's newest highway) and the ocean.
