I agree with Rose89, i am not saying that America got what they deserved but that they made a big deal out of what was not such a big event. If this tragedy had hapened anywhere else in the world do you think that the event would be broadcasted on over a hundred countries, do you think that for the the months following the event it would still be the highlight on the news? I think that because America is the most powerfull country in the world they expect others to feel sorry for them but do not return the favour.

I agree with both of you guys, there are even worse tragedies around the world (and even worse: everyday, and many of them perpetrated by Americans themselves) and nobody seems to care.
But the point of this topic is to point out how the ego and feeling undestructible made both the Titanic and the Twin Towers to collapse, those are hints to make all of us know we are not "the kings of the world" after all... well, that's my opinion

Biased tv coverage by US owned media outlets has a lot got to do with what tragedies are remembered and what tragedies are not.

To suggest that the Twin Towers and Titanic disaster, or any other disaster for that matter was an act of God may be going too far in some instances.

I don't think Titanic and the Twin Towers were very much alike other than that they were sad disasters.

One reason being that Titanic was an accident, the Twin Towers were the result of evil.

Saying God himself could not sink this ship was a dangerous statement and it speaks volumes as to what happened. If people put themselves above God and above all creation, God will be sure to put them in their place.

Seems to be if God is brought into it everything goes wrong. The hi-jackers where under the impression that they where doin Gods work I don't see how killing people at work has anything to do with that.

Titanic and it's sisters prior to the sinking where said to be unsinkable and that God himself could't sink them.

There are many other examples of this but the simple matter is both tradigies could of been averted

Sad.

i think that they told the hijackers that they were doing this for god, because god needed to show the americans something or to punish them. thats the only way i can explain that. they believe in allah so theres a little difference.
