Well Jack and Rose didn't immediately go at it like rabbits. And in that sense I'm glad that they didn't. If you ask me, and I know you haven't: Jack and Rose loved each other in the proper sense. Jack respected Rose and Rose felt safe and secure with Jack and she was even willing to give up that safety in order to die with Jack when she jumped from the lifeboat back to the sinking ship. That's real love and not some sleazy romp. So yes they didn't break any sexual marathon record during the 5 day voyage on board Titanic but they did find the most important part of Romance called true love and trust. Good message for the younger generation don't you think?

I don't know about that being such a good message for youngsters. Exspecially were she is engaged to Cal and then climbs into the back of a automoble with a young man she only days earlier met.

In an easy-answer-world you might be right. However marrying someone for money isn't exactly the ideal message for children either. Rose's mother did not give her the right parental guidance now did she? Trapped in a situation in which Rose was contemplating suicide, one can only imagine what inner struggle the caracter was going through. Fortunately most of us will never have to be faced with such anguish. People who have not been in a situation that whould point them toward suicide as an option, have no idea what it is like and therefor don't know what they are talking about. It is not the best option but one must show some form of compasion and guidance to people facing such emosional problems. People without life experience should not even attempt to comment on this.

i agree. seriously, they know each other 4 like 2 days!
but the movie is amazing anyway... i mean, they do love each other and nothing beats true love. besides, they are teenagers, what do you expect? (no offence, teenagers of the world, i am one myself...)

Yip, when the hormones really start to play tricks on you it makes you fall in love and climb the walls with anger at the same time.

with sissel .
the closest i've ever gotten to "loving" a girl is when i went to the winter carnival with her. (to be honest she asked me 4 times and after rejecting her on the 3rd i finally said yes. i didn't really love her at all if that's the idea that your getting )
