It was leaked a while ago that in summer 2005 a directors cut of the block buster Titanic will be released. There is a site which has the trailer. Now am not sure if it is but there are many shots not seen in the thetrical version and some bits that was in it are seen from a different angle. The site says this trailer was put on summer 2003 which would mean am wrong but this sites dates are questionable. It takes a while to download (50mb) but well worth it.

One such new bit is when they arrive in southhampeton and carl says
"we are on the grandest ship in history, and you act like you are going to your execution.

Plus a bit where roses grand daughter talks to doctor loved( a think thats his name) where she questions him about her being there. Also you see leo punch carl in the stomach.

this is the site takes a while but worth it even if it isnt the new version which is comming this summer.

If that isnt the new version then it just gives you a taste what the directors cut will be like.

I think that might have of been the theatrical trailer I have the dvd which contains that so I'll double check later on.

I havent seen it before but the theatrical trailer is around half aslong as the one am refering to. Or possibly the american version has 2 trailers but make sure if you look at it you go to the long one. The site does also show the theatrical.

But anyway even if its not a new trailer at least I can say there is to be a directors cut. That am totally sure of.

I think it could be the directors' cut trailer. Whomever did it though did a wonderful job in the editing. :) Really.

Hm... So they are finally coming out with a Director's cut? After like yonks ago they said that they were going to do this.

That one is NOT the Director's Cut trailer...that trailer is the second version of the moviepromo, the longer one. Sorry:(

Just did a little searching and it's not the directors cut. I thought it was because of the unseen footage. It was shown close to the movies release to add to the hype. I dont remember it cause a was only 7 at the time and only got to see the movie because my dad and the manager are friends.

The directors cut has't been officially announced. It was leaked from either Italy or more likely Foxes british counter part Sky
(both of which are owned by rupert murdoch). Apparantley Parampont where getting mail saying there has to be a proper DVD. The one which is out was rushed. To my knowledge they have re-done the sound fixed the picture to anamorphic. Am not sure if the digital effects have been re done but there only around 8 years old so....

Cameron has re-edited it taking some stuff out then replacing it with new then adding more. A bit like those directors cut lord of the rings.

Summer is where it is supposed to be however they may wait untill 2007. One reason is its the movies 10th annivercary but the other is that the next generation DVDs are comming. Called blu-ray same format to be used on the sony PS3. The hold 20 times the data and can allow for high definition movies.

With a bit of luck we will get the DVD that should of been there with the making of etc. I for one want to see the making and see them build the replica and researching the ship. Cameron also had a look at Olympic and consolted the original plans for Britannic.

Oh well all we can do is hope

I just got mye "Screenplay" book from Amazon; and there are so many deleted scenes described in that book and I really really hope are in the Extended :D

If it does then quite possibly or maybe it will be out in april.

Maybe in June 2005.
