I just wanted to know what the most moving part in Titanic to everyone else. For me I know it was when Jack told Rose to promise to never give up and never let go. I dont think anyone held on to a tear that moment in the movie. Its too bad that no one can prove that Jack and Rose are real but all i have to say is that im a guy and i have seen alot of movies from godfather pt.1 and pt.2 braveheart scarface and etc. but this is the most moving movie i have ever seen and the best movie ever.

The dome breaking, and when nearer my god to thee was played IMO are definitely the more moving parts. No doubt about it!

Tell the truth the most moving part of the film are in two parts is that of the band playing till the end and that of the elderly couple lying in their bed while the water is rushing in around them. I think these two parts show the true side of every living soul.

Should't you have placed this thread under the movie related topics.

But anyway in answer to you question for me it was when they where at the wreck site and you see the shoes and the brocken glasses. Even the shandalers are still hanging, and by the way on the real wreck they are still hanging.

I agree with several of you. I found the scenes in the beginning where the lights were gliding over the shoes, the doll head, the and the piano and hearing the echoes and voices in the background. The "Nearer My God to Thee" sequence, the scene when the dome breaks and the water rushes in, and the scene shortly after where the doors and walls are being blown out by the water (dramatic and sad), and the ending when Rose goes back down to the ship and the ship is restored. The way she enters the Grand Stair case and those who perished are there welcoming her, but no one says a word, no one's mouth is moving, they just nod and smile cheerfuly. Everything about the way things were done in this movie is almost perfect (and in some scenes, perfect) IMO. Best ending I've ever seen too. I love the way the light pours out of the windows as the ship is being restored in that scene. WHole thing has such a warm dreamy glow.

The close-up footage of the wreck is actual footage from the wreck. The wide angle shots are models.
