Anyway bak to the discussion, the full name of the captain was
"Edward James Smith', a'll find the figures for u soon, But I read somewhere is was Edward john smith, though am sure it was james. cya |

There was a grand total of 2206 people on board, 703 in the life boats, and some picked up from the water.
so only 32% of the passengers survived. |

she was thought to be unsinkable, so there was no need for them, besides the board of regulations sayed she only needed a few. Titanic actually had more life boats than the regulations sayed she had to have. But still not enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
