I suppose one could inspect every movie and find mistakes of some kind. Even all the original Titanic movies had mistakes. The real Titanic was never cristened by a woman at the time of the ship's launch as was depicted in "A night to remember".

That's probably where "artistic license" comes into effect.
However, filmmakers should try and keep these imperfections to a minimum.

My favourite mistake in a big budgjet film is the one in gladiator. maximus feeds a horse and just in the middle of the picture you can see a crew member walking in a pair of jeans. Unless he is a hip roman soldier then i must laugh

I missed that one bell. I'll keep my eyes peeled next time I watch Gladiator. Ridley Scott made a bit of an error it seems. However the rest of the film was rather good.

No point in pointing out mistakes because chances are the creators already know about them. Sometimes they see them during the creation process and just don't have the time or patience to fix it, most times immediately after it's finished Anyone who's an artist of any type knows this. Also, anyone who's an artist accepts this fact, we (I do fine art) are our own worst critiques. So chances are that Cameron knows about all the mistakes already and knew about them long before any critiques noticed them

Would Cameron take the time to correct most of these mistakes before releasing the Collector's edition?

i think he would be too busy to do that, it would be a waist of time for him, besides they are only minor mistakes
