In what sense? What about the scenes immediately after the sinking showing all those who hadn't gone down with the ship freezing to death in the water? What about the point when Officer Lowe returned to the scene with his boat? One of the points that is emphasized a great deal in the film is the fact that even though the boats were underloaded, even though hundreds had survived the sinking itself, no one came back to help. I'd think that would show the immensity of the tragedy.

I agree. However it is strange with how much impact this film caused at the time. What do you think can it be attributed to?

lol look at this it is quite humorous

"When Jack and Rose finally come aboard the top of the ship after she rescues him they ask the Colonel if there are any boats left and he says "up that way" The woman on the left, is then later seen on the life boat with Molly Brown. (They show her face right after Molly says the line "its your men out there") The life boat with Molly Brown in it was sent out before the scene with the Colonel, meaning that she must have gone on the life boat, swam back onto the ship and then back onto the lifeboat".

she must of got a lot of exercise

Yeah, there are a hell of alot of mistakes. Like the little mountain visible in the background (just to the side of the ship's compass platform) in the scene were Jack and Rose are walking on the boat deck just before she grabs his scetchbook.

Also, in the scene where the camera does a flyby over the ship: There are a couple of seagulls added digitally. One of these gulls flies between the third and fourth funnel (dissapearing behind the fourth funnel) then sudden flies behind the aft mast. (It should logically dissapear behind the mast too, but it doesn't)

one bit i found suspect is, you know when the first class dome caves in why is it that water isn't pouring through the windows a deck lower? One hasn't even broken from water pressure because there isn't any water even touching it. A moment before when we saw the smokestack fall, one could see the encasing of the dome and the stairs' roof was submerging. The windows below must be broken and flooding when the water is crashing through the dome. but it does not come from the windows at that scene? strange

When Jack tells Rose about his antics of Ice fishing at "lake Wisoda" (forgive my spelling) it is not know to the viewer that the lake had not been esatblished for Ice fishing until 1918.

There is also clearly a reflection of the camera in the window just before the steward opens the door for Jack to enter the first class staircase.

Another mistake in the scene where Rose breaks Jack's handcuffs, you can visibly see the stunt person not wearing suspenders as Jack does. This is an inter cut shot between the raising of the ax and the striking of the cuffs. Also the cuffs are historically acurate, but for a few reasons it is easy to see they are modern re creations.
