$800,000,000 is alot of money, you could have made two or three good ships out of that kind of money

For that you could re-build the Olympic and Titanic, and perhaps Britannic. Atleast if you consider the cost of the original in todays terms but of cource, they will need a triple hull, computer's, better steal etc. but If i was cunard I would of built on, on the Olympic class design and call it Gigantic, the britannics original name, and make it about 1200 feet long. that would of been really good.

yeah , it would be alot better than a cruise ship and would boost the publics interest in the ships

umm...we know that.

I think that 1200 ft. might be a little long. don't you? I mean, the structure of the ships back then weren't extremely sturdy. Ithink that with today's technology it would be alright. and what do you mean the QM2 lost $800 mil.?
