yep all over the world, it wouldn't have got an oscar(wich is american) if it didn't come to the us, it would be a bit unfair

Titanic is the best movie because it makes you laugh, cry and it is an adventure, romance, action, period piece rolled into one. Remember the way you felt when you saw it for the first time? No other film evokes that feeling. It touched everyone. Even the people who won't admit it. People who are jealous of the film's success because they didn't see a good thing coming before everyone else did. They have sour grapes for not spotting the success beforehand. Some critics also have this syndrome:
"I said it would be bad but now it's good, so now I will hate it anyway just because I said it would be bad and it's not."

well... it wasn't the greatest movie ever. it was okay, but not the greatest. If you think that the titanic is the best movie ever, then you must not have seen very many movies

If greatness is measured by the impact a film has on the culture of mankind on a global scale then I am sorry to inform you but Titanic clearly stands out as being tops. Don't ask me, ask the millions of fans that contributed to the global record income of the film. The numbers speak for itself. Why would so many people view a film in record numbers if it was such a poor cinematic event?

And hey people do have different tastes. Don't beat yourself up about not going mainstream by liking the film. It's cool to be different.

Britain's box office gross, reflect's the US, so if it does't beat Titanic in America, you can beat it wont in the UK. Besides, you count worldwide sales, and even then Titanic wins.
