A book can be wrong, the way in witch the steel was made, was perfectly fine, and was of the highest quality avilable at the time. I mean if it was't the ship would not have made it out of belfast. The chemical make up of the steel, was fine, for 1911,

Does anyone know what kezlar is made of? Another good point that bell made is the possibility that the "coal-fire" in boiler-room nr.6 might have caused damage to the structural integrity of the Titanic. Were there any eye-witness reports of boilers exploding due to a rush of cold water entering these hot boilers? Visuals of the wreck certainly doesn't show exploded boilers, but then again only a few are accounted for in the debris-field.

That patrick james fennon said he saw it. But him being on it is not clear, as we know he did not appear on the survivers list. his stories are not exactly credible, he was one of the people that said Titanic was switched. But how he knew about the damage above boiler room 6 I don't know. He died before the wreck was found, but maybe it was a lucky guess.
