I don't think they should raise the Titanic. The Titanic is a gravesite to thousands of people who lost their lives. It should just be left alone and explored under the water.

[quote:f10b68a2dd="jomateu"]I agree with you about they shouldn't raise Titanic, because it is a big ocean's grave, but the fact it is that if Titanic isn't raise it is only because they cannot do it, the ship is too fragile, it was fragile and caused his sunk when new imaging now...it is sad to say but what they are doing with Titanic it is just a tomb robbery I cannot understand how British governement do not do something about it, Robert Ballart was extremely sad he was the only person to understand Titanic, in fact who is the owner of the ship, I have heard a Spanish "galeon" was found in Britannic coast, (in fact "invincible armada" left rather hundreds of them, such as Santisima Trinidad) and if they found something to proove the boat belonged to spanish armada, Spaniards can claim the boat and also al the treasures in...so what about Titanic?[/quote:f10b68a2dd]

However, within a few years nothing will be left of the Titanic owing to corrosion.

This is a good, thought provoking question. Not considering [i:f96241a240]IF[/i:f96241a240] it can be raised, or the moral issue of [i:f96241a240]should[/i:f96241a240] the final resting place of so many people be disturbed, let us consider the formidable task of sorting out the legal aspects of something so removed in time. The mounds of litigation to determine whose heir would be entitled to claim what portion of anything personal that was retrieved and the tracing of the now defunct White Star Lines legal responsiblilties causes me to consider the entire venture to be just this side of unthinkable. Of course, if someone wanted to jam the courts systems of the world, this might be just the ticket. Comments?
