Hi everyone, ok I'm just putting this post here to see if anyone is interested. I'm currently in contact with someone who worked on the Movie Models built for the Computer Sequences and Sinking Sequences of the movie and I've been asked by him to find out if anyone would be interested in buying some parts that he has leftover from the Models?
The parts are in 1/4th scale (Stern Section Only) - This is the model used for the Breaking Sequence, and also some 1/8th scale (Full Ship).... Please bear in mind that some items are damaged due to filming in the tanks and breakage sequences and then also due to the dismantelling but they are 100% Genuine and you will get some sort of COA with them.. If anyone here is seriously interested please contact me, or ask questions here. NOTE: You probably won't get anything for $50 etc, as most of the remaining peices are large sections such as Benches, Railings, Crane Parts and Funnels, therefore only serious customers please as some of this stuff can get very expensive! Thanks CD Image explanation: IMAGES; DSCF0173, 0174, 0175 & 0180 are of the Single Fairlead which was found on only four parts of the ship, two on the Bow and two on the stern, as you can see the Railings are still attatched!!.... Model Part is signed by Donald Pennington and is of 1/8th scale, you san see the size comparison with the CD Single in image 0180 IMAGES; DSCF0177, 0178 & 0181 are of a peice of 1/4th Scale Railing taken from the Breaking Sequence, this rail was either from the small deck attatched to the Stern (the one with the wheel for steering the ship when in reverse)... or it was taken from the top deck betwen funnels 3 & 4. IMAGE DSCF0176, this peice I've yet to actually find out where exactly it came from, cause its not seen in the movie or anything so its hard to know if its from the model, but Mr Pennington has said it it???? IMAGE DSCF0179 is of some Window Frames used on the 1/8th scale model (I think, I doubt they are from the 1/4th scale..) Just a Quick Note:
The Images Above are NOT for the items that are for sale, these images are of my own items which I bought from Mr Pennington last week, I have inlcuded them as a sort of proof that the items that are for sale are genuine!... Actual Photos of the items which are for sale will be posted here as soon as I get them! Thanks CD |

Hi everyone,
OK, Things are going slow but I was asked if Donald Pennington had any Model lifeboats leftover and he replied stating unfortunatly not, he said he only made 1/8th scale models as the 1/4th scale ones were not needed becauase the 1/4th scale model was only used for the breakup & sinking scenes and as all the lifeboats were off the ship by then they were not needed... He thinks that he does have some model davits leftover but has not 100% confirmed this. Sorry about the delays but he explained that his Computer crashed last week so he couldn't reply or do anything but has said he will get some info gathered on parts he has etc More to follow... p.s. would anyone here be interested in buying any Titanic Film Cells from me?, I have loads and there are 5 Cells Per strip and its approx £1.00 per strip, depending on the popularity of the scene & number of each scene I have... let me know if anyone's interested!? |

Well he doesn't want his email address posted or contact info for a few reasons,
1. Spam is a major problem, I'm using a temp email address for this cause I knew I would get loads of it and since posting my email address all I've been getting are emails about winning stuff and money transfers etc etc... and 2. Beacause he barely has time to reply to me never mind 30 or 40 different people all asking different questions about prices etc, so he has asked me to handle it... Hope you can understand, I'm sure that if you find something you want to buy for certain he'll probably contact you for payment details etc etc... Thanks |

I tihnk that if he really is interested in selling them then he'd make time for people to inquire about questions. That's what buisness is about.
Personally I'd like to know what he still has, do they come with COA (I mean if he was able to make them for the film do you not think he's able to make more, scratch them up a bit and say "hey look they were on Titanic"), and a price list.. Also to stop spam when posting your email address just do it smart jane @ myserver. com Leave spaces between things.. |

Hi, I understand where your coming from but trust me, he is really really busy, think about it, he works on models for films that have big budgets and deadlines, so I think he's more worried about getting his job done and keeping his reputation that selling the stuff.... he just asked me to see if anyone is interested in the larger stuff... I'm guessing he needs the room, but if I can't find people he'll probably give it to his friends or sell it off from his studios!...
Therefore you guys and another two Titanic forums really are getting first pick! Also, yeah I thought about that too regarding having stuff remade, but no he ain't doing that... how do I know?... well alot of stuff was moulded or made from cast iron molds etc etc and I' trying to make a model of the Bow section, so I thought I'd contact the companies who did the model molds for the film, but I've found out alot of them either don't exist or simply sold/gave the original molds back to Fox!.. also he only has certain pieces left and he has explained to me in detail what happened to most of it, alot was stolen after the movie was finished, Fox took some of it and alot of small things were given to employees who made the models as gifts!... so he only has specific stuff left, alot of it larger sections because no one has the room to store them, so I doubt he'd make all this stuff again and try to make money from it.. I mean he barely has time to take pics of the stuff never mind rebuild it in what little spare time he has!... if your doubtful I suggest you don't buy just to avoid any fall-outs with him cause if people start accusing I say he'll not bother selling through the net. And about the COA, He told me he can give one from his company Donald Pennington Inc. which was the main company that built the models for the movie, Fox won't do this for people, I guess if they ain't making money off it why bother.... but he also has everything signed underneath with a date and saying if you can see it in the movie! Is this ok?, anymore questions welcome Oh and p.s. I did actually do that with my address but I still got all the Viagra emails and Computer Software ones! |

Hi again, OK, The best way to do this might be if anyone is interested post a budget here, e.g. you wouldn't pay over $300 for suff, then I can Donald Pennington to see what he has for that amount.
