this is pretty random but i watched the film on bbc 1 the other night and picked up on the fact that Molly Brown arrived with a small Louis Vuitton hand trunk, i am aware that Louis Vuitton was establised in the victorian period howver i was just thinkin about a program i watched about titanic, it said leather doesnt dicompose down there because the batteria cant eat the leather because of the way its treated, so i thought about this and wondered if there is
Louis Vuitton trunks down there on the sea bed which are pretty much intact and with a clear monogram on them, if there was that would be amazing to think it would last that long!

bactria is also used in the production of tanned leather so it musn't affect it.

I am not really sure about older Louis Vuitton peices, but I do know that newer ones, even that classic monogram style, is made of canvas, not leather. It's a leatherlike canvas, but still canvas.

i think the older traditional way was making it out of leather. Im pretty sure it was.

Like I said, that may be true. I used to sell Louis Vuitton bags, so I know that currently, it's made from leatherlike canvas material. I just wasn't sure about older peices.
