Why is it they could bring up "the big piece" and not say for instance the reception room door that still has the glass in it or the fireplace from Bruce Ismay's room. These are beautiful pieces that soon will become dust? I understand about the pros and cons of salvage, but then how was the big piece brought up Betty |

The Big Piece was actually on the sea bed - it's part of the ship that actually "tore off" as the ship broke apart and you can see where it twisted and tore. A lot of people don't like the idea of cutting stuff up out of the ship - among other things, that would make the ship decay faster, and some people also see the ship as a grave.
