The ship was never really moving, they just used a lot of sweeping movements with the camera to make appear that way (and used digital effects too), easy really. I can make it look like I'm running 50mph by just sweeping the camera forward a bit, when I'm really just walking. I do this sometimes when photographing bird's in flight, makes for a cool shot. And just like Cameron did, I do it when I'm on the water (only I'm actually moving), it just looks so cool. Like your flying...

I do art in general. I have a web album up, but I am in the process of updating it now. If you want to have a look anyway, I can post a link.

The movie was made more than 75% by computer, you will see in the special edition of titanic.

Here is the link to my web page: http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/jesusfreak653/my_photos

While there are a lot of special effects in the movie, it doesn't even come close to 75% of it being totally (100%) computer generated. Most of the special effects/computer generated stuff was accomplished by shooting the props (and sounds, etc.) first, then manipulating them, and using them to enhance some shots. For example, the entire Southampton Scene was shot in reverse, and just flopped to make it look right. This would be considered a special affect, at it's simplest. Or computer generated people, they still use real people. If 75% of the movie was completely computer generated, than I don't think it would have cost 200 million billion dollars to produce
