I couldn't help but notice that you failed to cite a reason for believing I had such expertise to share.

Sincere admiration no doubt. Or he might be just a little bit sarcastic. Either way we are deviating from the topic guys. How big might this iceberg have been?

Do other ships encounter icebergs on a regular basis? Or was this one berg an unusual one?

The Iceberg must have been big enough for plenty of people to see at the time of the collision. One passenger reported seeing a white object pass by his/her porthole. The iceberg size in JC's Titanic is what I would imagine it might have been like (size wise that is).

That's the great thing about the Titanic: There are so many mysteries we simply will never know... The berg must have been huge indeed... Just imagine this huge white wall in front of that ship and the few seconds between the two objects. Destiny I tells ya, destiny!

The Prow of the ship was almost hit by the iceberg, right?
cuz if i right remember in the movie.. titanic was moving to the left so the iceberg was hitting the right side, lol and then the officer turns it to the other side..
so titanic was hit aproximetely to the keel, right?
