Can anyone tell me what they know about George W Vanderbilt cancelling his booking on Titanic? I do know his Valet Edwin Wheeler perished aboard with GWV's trunks on board. GWV on the other hand sailed on April 3rd aboard Olympic arriving in NYC April 10th. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I think you might have confused him with Banjamin Gugenheim who perished aboard Titanic with his valet.
George W. Vanderbilt was lost aboard RMS Lusitania.

Vanderbilt and gugenheim were well known passengers on thier respective ships-
Any history of the Titanic sinking, such as "A Night To Remember" will tell about Gugenheim.
Vanderbilt likewise for a history of the Lusitania disaster-the book by Diana Preston mentions him quite a bit-
