I have read a few more things regarding the lifeboats and it seems Mr. Roderick Chisholm knew there should have been more lifeboats put on Titanic, but did not press the issue. This was unusual because I also read when he wanted something done, it usually was???
Also, I wonder if the crew had been trained properly they would have gotten the lifeboats and people off faster and maybe more passengers would have been put in. Seems like the crew did not know what to do, where their station was and was afraid the lifeboats would not hold the people they were built to hold?
How many ships, besides Titanic could not use their lifeboats because of untrained crew or because the ship was tilted? I know I read of a few where the lifeboats were useless because of the tilt of the ship. But geez was wondering if we are still safe today in regard to lifeboats. If the crew does not know what to do, we are in dire straights wouldn't you think? Bett
