well, i wouldn't believe everything you read, i made that mistake, and have had to do an awful lot of research to find out the truth. can i ask what this book was called, i'd be interested to get a copy to read.

thanks, i'll keep a look out for it. after spending a long time doing research into the lives of the officers i personally dont think any of them shot themselves, maybe a crew member who was mistaken for a officer but not one of the actual officers. but if you think will murdoch did shot him self then that is your opinion and thats fine :D

i thought it was a good moviebut i went to see the exbit at the science center and that was more moving

Well, IMO, the way movies are today, to get the audiences attention they have to put in: some gorey stuff, a little historical stuff, maybe some questionable things and of course a love interest? If it was just about Titanic, it would not have grossed as much money as it did. Sadly that is the way the movie industry is today.

I like the old version with Barbara Stanwyck but do you think it would have gone over as big as Cameron's today?
