I know the Titanic's hull number is 401. But what is with the number "390904" ?
I have heard the legend that the Belfast workers thought that Titanic was cursed by this number, because when looked at in a reflection, and the number 4 drawn sloppy, it spells out "NO POPE", and therefore, was sacreligious. What is 390904 in reference to? Is is the ship's keel number, or is it just another designated number that Harland and Wolff gave the ship? |

390904 was titanics hull number 401 was her yard number and 131428 was her build number...it was rumored that 390904 when looked at backwards looked like No Pope, and that it was a bad omen..i don't really buy into that...i think it is a bit of a stretch...
