Last I heard, Betty, she hired an orchestra to play Happy Birthday this year. People are saying she celebrated "quietly" but I guess they have a different definition of quiet than I do.
She usually shows up at the British Titanic Society meeting in Southampton, but there are no guests announced yet - you might want to keep an eye on http://www.titanicmemorabilia.co.uk/titanic-BTS-2004.html to find out. I met her last year at the BTS and she's an absolute darling. |

An orchestra, huh. Hey, I don't blame her at all. What an absolutely great way to celebrate. I think she is a fine lady and hope she enjoys all her birthdays and wish her many, many more. Wow! that had to be such a great event----to meet her. Did you get your picture taken with her, etc.? I bet she is a riot. She looks like, in her pictures, she is full of fun Betty |

No, but my husband drew all kinds of cartoons for her - boy did she flirt with him! (Admittedly, I am married to the world's second greatest flirt. He married the first greatest). :wink: And we were allowed to buy here a sherry, which I thought was a pretty great honor.
