The ashes of 92 year old Ellen Walker believed to have been conceived on board Titanic were scattered off Cataclew Point, Cornwall over Hallowe'en weekend.
Ellen's mother, Kate Phillips, a 19 year old shop assistant from Worcester, England and her father, Henry Morley, the shopkeeper, eloped on board Titanic. They travelled under the assumed name of Mr & Mrs Marshall. Their story is thought to have inspired the "Jack & Rose" characters from the film. Kate survived by finding a place in the last lifeboat, and gave birth to Ellen 9 months later. Henry died in the disaster. She was a lifelong supporter of the RNLI because of her rescue from Titanic by lifeboat. May she rest in peace. Source: Belfast Telegraph 3 Nov 2006 |

Oh my god, sorry for saying this but ROSE AND JACK NEVER LIVED!! And they aren't based on real persons either. It's really sad I always have to say that again and again.

well, i guess we can't blame them for not knowing. maybe they aren't as in to the movie as we are. or know as much about it. maybe they like the real ship better!

I do like the real ship better... well, I think the problem is they are maybe too much into the movie... and not very interested in the ship, you see?
