Did any famous people and other famous items go down with the Titanic?

actually Janea you are wrong i been researching titanic for quite a long time and there were famouse people who went down with the titanic i could list their names but it would take awhile.

yes of course famous people went down with the Titanic- e.g. J. J Astor, Benjamin Guggenheim and his valet, Thomas Andrews, Captain Smith and others less famous. In myth, "The heart of the ocean" was the most precious thing that went down but in fact of course the most precious thing that went down in fact was the Titanic herself and-until this day it has never been found-the ships log book which would provide answers to big mysteries.

That's not the question I would ask my self. Am I man enough to die so that others can live? Even if the officers aren't filling the life boats. I'd rather die just so that my wife and child can have a chace to live. I guess that's the way I would have looked at it. I guess that's the way that I was raised.

the thing is if you were famous in those days you were most likely to be posh and "snobby" and boast a lot. I think you would have gotton selfish froma ll the money, fans etc. and would be most likely to say, "Get out of my way! I'm (whoever you are)!!" So I think you would be overwhelmed but if it was nowadays I think I would have died to save the lives of others; even if i were a king. If that were the case I would be happy knowing that I'm dieing to save my own people.
