OK I have been ordered by the Captain to bring this topic over here--where I knew it should have been in the first place when I inadvertantly brought it up.

In another section I asked:
What are some of the coolest reproduction that are available--not like Cameron's movie set or something...but something that can actually be gotten?
Or maybe just what is your favorite reproduction?

I'd really be interested in hearing.

Perhaps there is an ulterior motive here--I love the reproductions and maybe I'm hoping I'll hear about something I didn't know about......

My personal favorite of the moment is my copies of the original blueprints - you can investigate them for [i:723f6eed11]hours[/i:723f6eed11] and still get something new from them, every single time.

7th officer,
My very favorite reproduction is a set of "Viola Soaps" (3) that I purchased when I first got on Ebay; my next favorite is a set of keys from C-3rd Class Smoking Room and another is a reproduction of a toothpaste jar.

I have quite a few others and a lot from the movie including the carpet from the Dining Room. I also love the reproductions, next best thing to the original which I definitely cannot afford

Lets hear what some of the other posters have.

teamtuna,
Geez the one thing I do not have in my collection is any of the blueprints. No reason. I was always going to bid on reproductions of them, but somehow never got around to it.

I would love to see the blueprints, because that's what i'm going to school for.

I think my fav. things I would say would have to be my 2 rings.

Titanic 4 ever,
What are your rings like? I do not think I have ever seen any rings.

One is a Sapphire Ring and the other is the 3 stone diamond ring.

After the movie came out, jewelry stores started making replicas of the Heart of the Ocean necklace. They only made a few hundred before production was stopped. I have one of them. So, I'd say that's my favorite.

Yes, they reproduced quite a bit of the recovered jewelry (the two aforementioned rings, another one, a necklace, the 'AMY' bracelet and so on..). I think they are only available at the museum gift shop for about $30 each if I remember. But alas, the only man's thing is the black cufflinks--of which I got a pair of course...even though I don't ever wear cufflinks--but I might, just to wear these!
Just yesterday I was over at the museum for a book, and bought yet another third class mug (I have a mess of the dishes).

What I am interested in finding is the reproduced key tags and keys or whatever...I haven't seen these. Where can I get such?

Yes, the plans are great, I have a not so great copy of the first class accomodations one (fantastic!) and some other ones. I match them against the computer 'tour' disk, and between the two I'm getting to really know my way around the ship.
If I was rich, I'd have a house built to replicate parts of the Titanic; Grand stairs, bedrooms like cabins, passageways (all classes) and so on. That's one of the things I really like about the exhibit, the reproduced interiors.
I wonder how much that would cost......
I wonder if some Titanic nut hasn't already done that?
