i'd say cal and lovejoy are my least favorites.
i don't really like ruth either because she was forsing rose to love someone she didn't really love. |

there are a whole lot of people i don't like. basically anyone who talks to rose like she's a piece of garbage. i hear mothers did push their daughters into marriage like that, i could never live that life.

ISMAY.Totally hated him.That coward had absolutely no back bone.If he was still around today i would go up to him and snot that sucker right in the nose and give him whats for.

Rose's mother. Rose was being made to pay for mistakes she had not made and all that mom could think about was keeping their things from being sold at auction. She had no understanding of her daughter at all and did nothing to try and help her into the marriage; she simply pushed her.
I really couldn't hate Cal. He was what he was which, unfortunately, wasn't the best thing for Rose in terms of personality. His character was simply unable to look beyond his own perspective, but at times, it seemed that he tried. He just couldn't succeed. I do think that he truly had Rose's best interests at heart, but simply was the wrong personality for her. Daniel |
