It's known that 2 ((small)) dogs survived the sinking. Their owners wrapped them in blankets and took them into the lifeboats. Looking like babies, these 2 dog are the only ones that survived.

As for the bigger dogs, it's known that they were released from the kennels, so they wouldn't drown.

thank you very much rip1912, you have put my mind at ease. I cant believe someone actually knew that and isnt it funny how they let the bigger dogs out so they wouldnt drown but let the third class people perish

Now that's what I call ironic! First class dogs got better treatment than steerage passengers! Quite sad, really.

I think the only steerage passangers that had any chance of escaping were the rats because they were small enough to get through the gates. I think drowning would be the worst death imagineable.

thats a myth , they never locked the steerage passengers up , its just gates that were closed the whole voyage , those people were just in the wrong place at the wrong time

hi guys i'm new here.
I think i would rather have the poochies saved than the humans. Poohchies or any dog have the exact same right to be treated kindly as humans. If you havn't noticed i'm a animal saver =)

well cya!

Well, is'nt anybody going to say anything about the poor rats that drowned? There were hundreds of them! Too bad no one thought of those poor creatures, they could have been put into lifeboat # 1, since there was so much room!
