Evanescence is decent. I have their first album and I thought it was good, though a lot of the songs kind of sounded the same; minor key power chords and pseudo cryptic lyrics. The formula worked for Ronnie James Dio, though he had Viv Campbell to provide some excellent solos, while I didn't hear anything noteworthy in that regard from Evanescence. I like Amy Lee's voice; kind of sounds like my girlfriend:)

i play lots of different music and i agree it is very minor, but its the lyrics that get me the most. they mean so much, even though sometimes its hard to understand what she means.
by the way Captain Dan you should listen to the new cd The Open Door, its alot different from Fallen. since she is started writing music with Terry Balsomo rather then Ben Moody. |

I'll have to check it out. When Moody left, I was still working with Guitar Center, and everyone thought they would break up. Glad they didn't:)
