how did jacks parents die ? people seem to think it was a fire , but they never in the movie say HOW they died

Its almost the anniversary of the real Titanic's sinking, and you're asking questions about a ficticious character's parents and their background off screen! I don't mean to be rude, but common dude, ask a good question about the real ship and maybe someone will answer! |

i know this site is for the REAL TITANIC, it was just a question in my mind at the time, and wanted to know what you lot thoght so lets just not bring it up anymore!

Actually, Danny, this section of the site is dedicated to the movie, so the OP is perfectly reasonable and posted in the right place.
Charlie, given the time period, they could have died from influenza, pneumonia or any one of a number of things that we are much better able to treat nowadays. Keep in mind that they lived in a very cold region and were poor, so they would not have had stellar medical treatment. I figure it was an illness and not anything dramatic, as he never mentioned their cause of death to Rose. Daniel |

I agree with you Daniel. Most people in this age died because of the bad medical situation in their villages.
It could have been an accident too - maybe his father was icefishing in this lake he mentioned and then the ice broke or something - we dunno  |
