Well, this is it! Titanic sinks at 2:20 in the morning. Though I guess I should say "mourning" to fit the mood of this disaster. 1,523 lives are cut short and the most beautiful ship disappears beneath the waves. My thoughts go out to those whose lives were forever changed by this disaster. My prayers go out to the families of the survivors. May they all find peace.

I'm aware of this, but I'm on central time (it's just now 1 am). As much as I hope I can last to at least 2:20, I'm dead tired. I'll try to stay up as long as I can, though. |

Well, it's1:40 (central) and Titanic's "nose" is fully under. This particuliar picture gets me every time I see it. You can still see people clustered together like bees. All lifeboats are gone now and far from the ship. Only one boat will return for survivors, but of all the people your see on the deck, only 5 will be pulled from the water. Only 5 out of 1,523 still on Titanic! The Californian won't even start her engines up 'til around 8 in the morning. Carpathia won't arrive 'til around 4 am - too late for those in the freezing water. I suppose these facts are what tear me up inside. May those lost rest in peace.

Well, now, it's 2:20 am (central) the last visible part of the stern has gone under. Rest In Peace, Titanic and 1,523 souls

God Bless all those on the Titanic. This one day in history the world will never forget. Below I posted Francis Brown's last photo he was able to take of her. This is the last known photo of her. Except in the mind of those that fateful night. Here's a nice tribute to those on the Titanic too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zDuROPoZnSA

1. I am in eastern time so its mostly near my time when it sank. its like 1 hour ahead of you Rip. and 2. After watching the history channel we nowknow that the titanic only raised * 30FT* into the air. not the dramatic version of *70FT* 3. 6 pulled out of water. 1 died on the boats. |
