I read this on another "group" and thought I would share, I had not read this anywhere before, myself: There were 78 members of a "back gang" stokers, greasers and firemen. There were also 41 members of crew which included officers, senior crewmen, cooks and storekeepers, although intriquingly none of the domestic staff appear on the ship's signing-on logs?
Jack Phillips and Harold Bride were there to keep Titanic in touch with the rest of the world and to fine tune the marconi equipment

Domestic staff wasn't officially signed on until Southampton, where that crew was added. I haven't the slightest what they did on the way over - personal servants maybe.
