Hello

I agree with Charlie. It was not necessarily the builders' fault. There was really no such thing as "quality-control" back then and the designers built Titanic believing that she would be formidable, but not unsinkable. Yes, there were flaws in her design, but there is always something wrong with the things we humans do. No matter what it is, we can find a way to mess it up. Titanic is one of those things where you can find a million and one people to blame the sinking on. I personally do not think it is right to blame it on the builders for something they certainly did not anticipate and tried to plan against. Why be ashamed? I have been a Titanic Fanatic for years and am only ashamed of a few Titanic-related things. In my humble opinion, the designers and builders did a good job in designing the Ship of Dreams. Her story was simply a “Whatever could go wrong, did go wrong.â€ÂÂ

Bye

She was made of Iron in 1912, what else could they have built her out of?

I agree with all of you guys because yes the builders didnt want this to happen and they didnt really have quality control but I did hear that they actually used the worst bolts possible to use and that if they had used better bolts that it might have stayed afloat longer or something like that I will try and find out the details.

I doubt it. The side of the ship was bumped and scraped and water was able to make it's way through the plating. I doubt the bolts would have changed matters. And lastly, the builders don't chose what parts to use I would say, the management would.
