The project to create a living landmark out of Belfast's Titanic link is at a crucial stage.
Representatives from the Big Lottery's Living Landmarks programme are visiting Belfast for the final application stage of the Titanic Signature Project. If successful, Belfast's Titanic Quarter could get £25m support. The Titanic Signature Project was one of 23 groups shortlisted for the Living Landmarks Fund in August 2006. The project envisages the development of the area around where the famous ship was built, providing facilities for exhibitions, conferences, education and the arts.
