To post a picture here in the forum you can use BBCode, which you can find a list of it when you post a message, you see the smilies then scroll down and you'll see
"Options
HTML is OFF
BBCode is ON
Smilies are ON"

Click on BBCode and you'll get a pop up window telling, if you scroll down you'll see "Showing images in posts
Adding an image to a post"

Or here it is if you can't find what I'm talking about

Adding an image to a post
phpBB BBCode incorporates a tag for including images in your posts. Two very important things to remember when using this tag are: many users do not appreciate lots of images being shown in posts and second, the image you display must already be available on the Internet (it cannot exist only on your computer, for example, unless you run a webserver!). There is currently no way of storing images locally with phpBB (all these issues are expected to be addressed in the next release of phpBB). To display an image, you must surround the URL pointing to the image with tags. For example:

(don't do the spaces)
[ img]http://www.phpbb.com/images/phplogo.gif[ /img]

As noted in the URL section above you can wrap an image in a [url][/url] tag if you wish, eg.
(don't do the spaces)
[ url=http://www.phpbb.com/ ][ img ]http://www.phpbb.com/images/phplogo.gif[ /img ] [ /url ]

What I did was go online and searched for a pic that was less than 200 pixels wide and was 200 pixels high. Going to www.google.com helped me find a picture after I typed in what I wanted and then clicked on images. After u find the picture u like, right click and click on Save Picture As. Then go back to www.titanic.com and login then go to ur profile. Retype ur password 3 times in those 3 spaces (if u don't this will not work) and scroll down until u find the word browse. Lastly, click on the file that u saved ur picture as. Then click Submit. :)

I think he was referring to how to post a picture on the forum, not a picture as your avatar (under your name).

Also to add an avatar under your name you don't have to enter your password 3 times. Just be logged in, click on Profile, scroll down to the very bottom where you see "Avatar control panel ", select the photo from your computer that you want as your avatar and there you go.
