One problem about whether or not the IRA started the fire. Titanic was built 1910-1912. The IRA did not exist until 1919. Northern Ireland (the british ruled part) was not established until 1921.
Therefore The IRA could not have started the fire as they did not exist. Belfast was still part of Ireland when Titanic was built, and hence an "irish" ship, not a british one, so there would not have been any point in the IRA destroying an irish ship had they existed back then.

Incidentally, Northern Ireland isn't a warzone. The crime rate is actually one of the lowest in the UK.
