I heard that the IRA started the fire on board the titanic but this was played down as the goverment of the day didnt want to give credeted to the Irish Republican Army.
I also heard that the titanic got damage just before its launch and rather than disapoint they made a few changes to her sister ship and swapped names so the titanic is really the olimpic and vise versa.

I heard the part about the switching of the names, but someone told me on a trip down there they found the ID number on the Titanic that would clairify which ship it really was. Since each ship of the day was given a special number so that they could ID it if it were to sink. Which, in this case was very helpful I suppose. Anyhow, they found the number, and indeed it was the Ttianic.

Theres that many storys going about that its hard knowing whats fact and whats fiction. Rosie you know your stuff. I hope that you never lose interest. collie

Ive also heard the story about perhaps it wasn't the Titanic that sank but the Olympic, but as NosieRosie stated (see I told you that name would be difficult) each ship had a number that identified that particular ship.

There were also other differences between the two--they really weren't identical even from the outside.

oh, it's out?! Last I heard it was still a work in progress..unless that is one of his earlier works. yep, he wrote it himself!
