There was a mention of the Rubyait on here not too long ago. I too didn't know that it was real and on the Titanic, but someone confirmed that it was.

The pursers office was on C deck I believe (or was it D) so imagine how hard it would be to get down there without ruining the ship and risking any lives. And who knows if the pursers safe is still full?? He might have emptied it when the ship was sinking, many passengers demanding their jewelry and prized possesions back...who knows?? We know they've found a pursers bag and safe in the debris feild and it had jewelry in it..

Did you know that back in 1912 there was consideration of trying to Raise the Titanic?? But back then they knew about where she was but the technology there wasn't any to dive that deep.. Read that in a book, found it rather interesting.

I wonder what the last meal was on board. I guess it was different for each of the different classes.

My burning question that I would definitely have answered would have to be "What really went on on the Californian that night, what did Captain Lord actually think, and how far away was the Californian from the Titanic?" I know, I know, it's multi-part, but they're all related to same thing.
