from what i've heard, usually the second movies are really bad and do ruin the reputation of the first movies. but some come out really good, like the terminator, of course. but you never know. it wouldbe interesting tho, to make a second movie.

Or like the James Bond movies. Those have been going on since like, the 60's. There's one bond per every 4 bond flims. Peirce Brosnan, the most recent James Bond, has just decided he will not do a 5th bond movie. Now, some of the new hunks considered to play this honorable role inclue Jude Law and Ewan McGregor! :)

now that i was thinking about it, both the terminator and the james bond series, if i can call them that, had all very succesful first movies and then the producers decided to make a second part, and so on. titanic was a great movie. so if they make a sequel it is meant to be a hit. altho i dont see, when the movie would be about, except as someone said about jack and rose's life apart, before they met.

not sure is it a good idea to make another movie on titanic,because a lot of raison...

tell us one of the reasons. i personally think it would be a success because even if the movie is not good, a lot of people would see it just because titanic was good. (that wasnt a good point was it?)

Well, it all depends on the previews for it.....I know that I don't go see movies if the TV ads for it make it look dumb. So, I think if they're VERY careful and handle everything good, then it might do alright in the box office. They just better hope that if it's not as good as the first that they make people think it is and get a HUGE turnout opening night, that way they get tons of people to see it before they have the chance to go home and tell everyone they know that it sucked. LOL :)

and what if it doesnt suck? theyr going to make more money and get a lot more oscars (leave the others with nothing ).

It might ruin the first movie's reputation but I think it would be interesting to make a sequel. You'd get to figure out what happened to Rose.

God NO!! please no more Jack and Rose!! By all means another version of Titanic showing somone elses story but no more Jack and Rose!!
