I'm not sure if they're able to access anything that would be preserved considering it is so deeply dug into the mud/sand. And I'm not sure if they'd "waste" the funds to try, espcially when there's still so much in the debris field and in more accessible areas where Artifacts can be brought up.

I think because the ship is in such tangles and so many corners you have to be careful not to hit anything I don't know that they'd risk trying to go that far into the ship to see if anything was preserved, those little camera things aren't cheap.. forgot how much...And if the camera got caught on something that far down, there's a high that they might not be able to recover it and therefor the expedition would be a waste due to their equipment would be in the ship and they'd have to spend more money on a camera, etc, etc ,etc

Rosie so unless they come up with new and better equipment then we will never get to see inside the thing. That sucks what do you think is the answer?

but the sooner they come up with new equipment the sooner we can see the hole that made her sink. how she was hit and stuff like that. unless, she collapses first.

She'll collapse first. I don't see technology advancing THAT much over the amount of time she has before she turns into nothing, and they say within 7-10 years there will be nothing but a pile of rust left of her..

Personally, I'm not so sure she will collapse so soon. While it's true that much deterioration has been observed on the promenade and boat deck, the hull below B-deck was constructed out of heavier scantlings -- which indicates to me that the lower part, at least, will last somewhat longer.

And the Britannic...she'll go on and on.

Best wishes,

Mark.
