As I retire for the evening, I look in the mirror at my nightshirt and red and white stripped hat
I kind of have to chuckle, because if you saw me I'm sure you to would laugh
I have no idea that soon people would be saying leave this place, stat
A tragedy on this ship seems rather daft.

I go to bed in my state room, tossing and turning as I try to get comftorable
Having no idea soon I would be staring death square in the face
Not suspecting the blunders of the crew and others would make this ship unstable
Never knowing soon I would be praying to God, take me from this place.

Lying in bed all of a sudden I feel a tremble and the sound of a horn
Startled, I get up to the sound of a horn sounding like an eerie out of tune clarinet
There are people running around as if they are in some kind of storm
I ask someone,"What's going on?" The answer I get"Seems like the ship and an ice berg met"

"All on deck!"I hear this being said on the deck in the cold air out side
I was told by a steward "Better get a top coat"
I see Mr. Andrews, the builder of the ship "Please, sir, in me will you truthfully confide?"
He told me "By the head this ship will sink. Find some way to get off this boat!"

On the deck I stand here trying to figure what to do
Uncertainty and doom linger in the air
Death is certain and unselective, doesn't matter what, doesn't matter who
Some people seem to be walking around without a care.

I find a deck chair and throw it into the dark desolate deep sea
Praying to God rescue won't take very long
Hypothermia will set in after awhile as the deep dark ocean is very cold, see
All of a sudden the first smoke stack breaks off, seems I'm going home to my maker where I belong.
