Naronic - Titanic's owners "Mystery Ship"

"On Febuary 11th 1893 the fairly new White Star Liner Naronic dropped her harbour pilot off at Point Lynas, Wales after sailing from Liverpool on her normal Liverpool to New York trip with 74 passengers and crew, 1017 tons of Welsh coal, 3572 tons of general cargo and has never been seen again."

Source from and copyright: A member of my company.

.Two of Naronic's lifeboats were found (empty) by a ship named Coventry.

.Four bottes were found washed up saying:

Bottle 1:
"Naronic sinking. All hands praying. God have mercy on us."
It was signed by L Winsel. It was dated February. 19, 1893.

Bottle 2:

“3:10 AM February 19. SS Naronic at sea. To who picks this up: report when you find this to our agents if not heard of before, that our ship is sinking fast beneath the waves. It's such a storm that we can never live in the small boats. One boat has already gone with her human cargo below. God let all of us live through this. We were struck by an iceberg in a blinding snowstorm and floated two hours. Now it 3:20 AM by my watch and the great ship is dead level with the sea. Report to the agents at Broadway, New New York, M. Kersey & Company. Goodbye all."

Bottle 3:

"Struck iceberg, sinking fast, Naronic”
Bottle 4:
"All hands lost, Naronic, No time to say more."

My company is trying to gather as much information about the Naronic as possible.

If you have any information about her please post it here.

Tom

Thank you, rose89.

Does anybody own the copyright of a picture of her or her sister Bovic?

BUILT IN 1892, SISTER SHIP TO THE "BOVIC" "NARONIC" WAS ORIGINALLY USED AS A REFRIGERATED CARGO VESSEL, BUT LATER CONVERTED TO PASSENGER CARRYING. SHE LEFT LIVERPOOL FOR NEW YORK IN 1893 WITH 74 PASSENGERS ONBOARD AND WAS NEVER SEEN AGAIN.

FOUR WEEKS LATER A VESSEL, THE "COVENTRY" SPOTTED ONE OF HER UP-TURNED LIFEBOATS ABOUT 500 MILES OFF THE COAST OF NOVA SCOTIA, AND ANOTHER LIFE BOAT WAS SEEN THE NEXT DAY. BOTTLES WITH MESSAGES IN THEM BEGAN TO WASH-UP ON THE COAST BETWEEN NEW YORK AND VIRGINIA, SOME SAYING THAT NARONIC HAD HIT AN ICEBERG.

THE COURT OF INQUIRY DID NOT EXCEPT THAT THESE MESSAGES WERE GENUINE. HOWEVER, BY A STRANGE QUIRK THE LOCATION THAT NARONIC'S UP-TURNED LIFE BOAT WAS SEEN IN WAS ONLY 90 MILES FROM WHERE "TITANIC" WAS TO MEET HER END NINETEEN YEARS LATER - COLLIDING WITH AN ICEBERG.
