Why do people say popping rivots? The iceberg cut 6 thin slits, totalling about 12 sq ft of space and water rushed in at 7 tons per second. By 2AM, 39,000 est. tons had filled the ship, almost the entire weight of the ship itself. And it sank. Thats it.

no it didnt. ballard looked for the whole but found none. it was the rivets that popped out and let the water in.

I think you need to study some more The bad rivets on the ship caused the plates of steel to seprate on impact and started filling the first five compartments the pctures alone show that also when strengh test were done on the rivets they failed in three differant test. Quote:
