Is the fate of Nomadic known already some how? I assume Belfast city council will buy her back, only the problem is that the Northern Ireland bank, was lighted 40 million us$'s this week by an organized bank robbery by robbers who held the bank clerk's families hostage at home while the others robbed the bank..

Plans were made is August of this year to have Nomadic returned to Belfast. City council was asked to put up £166,000 of the £500,000 needed to purchase the tender. It will cost £7 million to restore her back to her original state.

However, the last i heard, the auction, which was supposed to take place on Sept. 20, never occurred. The only parties that were interested were the Belfast City council and the Cherbourg Maritime Museum. Thats the latest i have heard.

The Northern Bank, not Northern Ireland Bank, lost £26.5m (about $53m) in the robbery. Nothing whatsoever to do with Belfast City Council! The robbery will have no effect on whether they purchase Nomadic or not. Gave me a laugh, though.

sobs... i hope they dont scrape her. i wish i could buy her.(grins her teeth) then i can bring her home with me( loads her in the back of my boat trailer) i wouldnt have to buy a house then. or maybe they could use her as a hotel. that would be cool only when you get off you have the notion that your still floating on water.
