Yah new to this site, Not sure if this topic has been brought up before, but it is interresting, did they ever recover after the sinking the remains of say capt Smith, or Thomas Andrews, The Strouses, or the band members, or the first officer Merdock?. What about John Jacob Astor?
It is so interresting, to think about, how capt smith died, where did he spend his last minutes, on the bridge, or was he with the others at the stern, maybe he was killed during the breakup? I guess we will never know for sure what happend. This is just one of the topics about this disaster that is so interresting cause the ship sank so slowly, and the time for all this drama to play out. |

either the remains sunk or were picked up by ships that were surching for bodys. Jonh J. Astor was found floating around wasn't he?

About First Officer Murdoch, I did hear that an officer committed suicide, but they do not know which one.

Yes, there is evidence of Murdoch shooting himself. Well, actually it's evidence of something happening to his head. A blunt object of some kind. Could have been a beam. Shooting himself has been more accepted due to him being on duty when Titanic was hit. Could be that he felt so guilty. Well at least that's what said. I can look for actual evidence if you all would like?
