A better question; why is this posted under "Titanic News"? I imagine Jack died the same reason the 1499 other people died.

Or perhaps Jackie was a 2 dimentional air head, with a mind as arid as a parched Texan irrigation ditch. Perhaps he was just some vaguely endurable prol, thrown in by Cameron to make the real tragedy paletable. Pehaps his lines were as blunt and duff as scuffed rubber door-stops. Perhaps his unflinching boyish enthusiasm and ceaseless charm-boy sloganeering reduced me to tears. Perhaps it was a blessing that he drowned.

Just a thought.

do you ppl not hav eyes? there's already been like, 2 threads on this subject. please check carefully to make sure that there hasn't already been a thread on the subject that you're posting. this goes for anyone. anyways...Jack died for the same reason that all of the other 1501 ppl on board the Titanic died: he spent too long floating in 28º water. kills a person easily.

Because they were both not real! And someone had to tell the gaging story.
