History Channel Documentary just shot a big question mark in the grounding theory of the Titanic with the actual bilge keel showing no visible signs of iceberg damage across the entire main beam section of either side! Since the bilge keels would have been bent or peeled back if the Titanic slip up on the submerged portion of the berg to receive any damage then you need to reevaluate this theory. I have seen actual photographs of several bergs that have no underwater shelfs on one side or the other. So I still return to the damage to side panels as the failing element of the design.

This iceberg is a good example of a berg that has very little submerged extentions on a specific side. It's easy to see how a ship can strike the side of the berg and not have to drag her bottom up on a submerged section or shelf of the berg. We will never know much about the actual bergs structure. There are many photos of suspected bergs responcible for Titanic's damage but they are unproven.
