I too was a strange, Titanic-obsessed child and am now a strange, Titanic-obsessed adult. When I was 9, I found a copy of "Exploring the Titanic" in the library and was fascinated from the first page. I'm 27 now so that makes eighteen years......I can't top rip1912, but I'm pretty close.

Welcome to the community! And yes, my parents do the same thing.. they don't understand it either. Only those who are passionate about the Titanic and its history will understand.

Welcome to Titanic Addicts Anonymous (well, not all of us are anonymous)! My name is Robert, and I've been addicted to Titanic since '87 (I'm almost 29 now)! LOL

The way I see it is - It's better to be addicted to something interesting (like Titanic), than something harmful (like drugs)!

My mom, sisters, and even my dad don't understand my addiction, but that's fine with me.

I think the idea for a Titanic themed room (or house, if you can sweet talk your spouse into it) is a great idea.

Hope you enjoy it and happy birthday!

yeah. Ebay is the way to go. you'll hav 2 register if u arn't already a member, but it's worth it. the benefits are well worth the time. plus, it's free. if u can't find it on ebay then it probably doesn't exist

I dont know any sites besides ebay, but I've become Titanic crazy in the last 2 years, and I'm only 17. I was actually freaked out by the movie when I was ten, but not anymore.

Alyssa,

I recently saw a cool TITANIC mirror on ebay - it is shaped like a porthole and has something like "RMS TITANIC" painted on it so it looks like an authentic nautical thing...it would look great in your Titanic Themed room. You could even get a few of them and line them up on the wall like your room was a stateroom on he Titanic.

Speaking of which, you can find everything from reproductions of Titanic artifacts like the china and third class blankets on ebay - everything to make your room look a lot more like an authentic Titanic cabin (I got a great Third Class cup and bowl repro on ebay - very cool stuff)
