I have found a few articles that say he was rescued but also a picture of the unmarked grave of Percy Ball in Hollybrook cemetery, Lordswood, Lordshill, Southhampton.
The sites says it belongs to Titanic related graves and describes Percy Ball as indeed a steward. This is the link; http://www.titanic-titanic.com/southampton_titanic_graves.shtml Last group of pictures, near bottom of page. I am wondering if he was a titanic survivor but died later on. There was also mention of a survivor named Percy Bell havind died at war but I have checked dates and they do not match, others confirmed this at the forums. Hope this helps. |

Encyclopedia Titanica has details of a Percy Ball and states;
"Mr Percy Ball was born in Southampton on 23 February 1893. When he signed-on to the Titanic, on 4 April 1912, he gave his address as 7 Winsor Terrace, (Southampton). He had previously worked as a Cook but on the Titanic he was employed as a plates steward. As such he received £3 15s per month. The Titanic was his first ship and he came aboard at 6 a.m. on 10 April. Ball was rescued (possibly in lifeboat 13)." I will let you know if I find out anything els, good luck.x. |
