Well... you are right that it's disrespectful, but Rose might have loved Jack more than her husband! Besides, if she died she was almost right above the Titanic grave! So her soul( if she died) went to the nearest person she loved, Jack! I think she died! She kept Jack's promise too! she died an old lady warm in her bed, although she wasn't exactly in her bed, but she was in a bed and VERY OLD!!!!!! Jack made her promise that she would get married and have kids too! So maybe that's the only reason she got married! besides, no one could come in the way of their love and she couldn't love anyone else the way she loved Jack!

I don't even know if Cameron knew. just kidding. but really im reading the script and all it says is this . "We PAN OFF the last picture of rose herself, warm in her bunk. a profile shot. she is very still. she could be sleeping, or maybe something else.

It could have been a dream in the end people. No one knows for sure if she died.

mrs.jack dawson, she didnt marry the guy in the movie, she married some guy in the 20s.

I just replaced my Titanic VHS with the 2005 special edition DVD. The deleted scenes show their relationship in more detail. The conversation they had about her dream of being an artist in particular. As an artist/musician myself who is fortunate enough to be in love with a lady who is an artist/musician, I can appreciate that connection. It is a unique connection, when two artistic souls meet and fall in love.

Her husband later in life doubtless loved her, and she him, but it was not the same.

look jack and rose were ment to be think about it ohh and jack just iked rose because she was pritty jack was a stupid know it all who saw a pritty girl and went for her but then they fell in love by accident they were ment to be BUT THE TITANICS DOOR COULDNT HOLD JACK AND HE FROZE TO DEATH i hate that door and thats that.

Rose trusted Jack!!! She lived at a time when women really didn't have many rights and Cal certainly reminded her of that, I mean she couldn't order the food she liked, or smoke, ect. Jack changed her life; he paid attention to her and gave her the freedom she would never had with Cal. I believe her heart was truly with Jack. All of those accomplishments framed on her headboard, at the end of the movie, were possible because of Jack. He showed her how to be free and that nothing was out of her reached if she wanted bad enough. He treated her as his equal, not as an inferior object. He loved her for who she was. To answer the question, it all started with Jack, and she very well might not have had the life that she did if it had not been for Jack. She would have either killed herself or been unhappy the rest of her days or at least until Cal shot himself.

We would not have known who her husband was. I don't think it would have made much sense.I just took it to mean she never stopped loving him.
I'm going to go watch the movie right now. I do this every April 14th evening.
