thats what i would think too, but i read it in a book "how to draw the titanic", i give it 1/2 a star, i know how to draw the ship, i wanted to know how to draw her sinking or something. i really started to not to believe the little info it had when i read "6 lifeboats were never found! i knew that was false!

Sadly, I must agree with MGY Friend. If William Carter's car was still there, it'd most likely be so badly corroded, that it'd be unrecognizable. We all have seen how badly deteriorated Titanic is from being on the sea floor for almost a century. Car steel is nowhere near as thick as ship steel. I'd be surprised if they even found a fender still intact.
Still, I bet that Renault would be a "show-stopper" at ANY car show! Just think if you're a judge at a car show and you saw this beauty... |

titanic_charlie, are you talking about that car?
If so, have you seen the "Ghosts of the Abyss" extended version? Cameron went into the cargo holds and for a moment he thought he saw it in an almost unrecognizable pile of debris. He thought he saw either a tire or fender, or maybe even a headlight. However, due to the silt and low visability of the hold, they could not possibly identify it. From what I have read, the car would be totally deteriorated due to its thin metal plating. |
